Vendela is a registered 2002 KWPN mare by the stallion Aram (Nimmerdor X Uppercut) out of our retired Oldenburg broodmare Wellesley (Weltstern X Wenzel). This mare is very dear to our hearts, as it was her mother who first helped pave the way for Janako Farms breeding program to be successful. Wellesley and Vendela were able to come to Janako Farms due to the generosity of Vendela's breeder Lyn Rook from New Hampshire, USA.  We are forever grateful to her for the opportunity to care for her 2 wonderful mares. Vendela was bred to be Lyn's next upper level dressage mount, when an unfortunate paddock injury ended the chances of that. Prior to her injury she was in training and performing very well in her Dressage duties.

Her Lineage is well known here at Janako Farms. Her sire Aram is by the very well-known Dutch stallion Nimmerdor, who was present in our retired stallion Zanaqu. He has produced multiple Grand Prix jumpers as well as he can be found in many top Dressage horse lines. He adds scope, and movement with wonderful readability to his get. Nimmerdor was known as the "KWPN stallion of the Century in 2000" He not only produced international offspring, he himself competed to the top of the sport, before retiring to stud.

Vendela's dam Wellesley was our foundation broodmare.
